RSS Feed Icon Crochet Pattern
Materials
- Worsted weight gray yarn.
- Worsted weight green yarn.
- Size J crochet hook
- Darning needle (for weaving in ends and attaching components)
Abbreviations
- CH = chain
- SC = single crochet
- HDC = half double crochet
- DC = double crochet
- st = stitch
- sl st = slip stitch
Directions – Background Circle
R1: with gray yarn, ch 3, 10 HDC in 3rd ch from hook (10).
R2: 2 HDC in ea st (20).
R3: *1HDC, 2HDC* repeat all the way around (30).
R4: *1HDC, 1HDC, 2HDC* repeat all the way around (40).
R5: *1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 2HDC* repeat all the way around, sl st to join (50). Finish gray yarn.
R6: Join green yarn at any point around gray circle. ch 1, sc in ea st, sl st to join. Finish. Weave in ends.
Directions – RSS components (3)
Component One – Circle
R1: ch 3, sl st to join.
R2: ch 2, 10 HDC in ring, sl st to join.
Finish leaving a long tail.
Component Two – Smaller Half Circle
R1: ch 10.
R2: Using top loops only: 1HDC in first 4 ch’s starting with 2nd ch from hook, then 2HDC in next ch, and 1HDC in remaining 4 ch’s.
Finish leaving a long tail.
Component Three – Larger Half Circle
R1: ch 12.
R2: Using top loops only: 1HDC in first 5 ch’s starting with 2nd ch from hook, 2HDC in next ch, 1HDC in remaining 5 ch’s.
Finish leaving a long tail.
Finishing
Attach circle and two half circles according to the picture of the RSS feed icon.
